wow i havent written in here since last year!  well finals are this week but i had my major gov final last week... woohoo i'm getting my first A in an AP class...wow istill cant believe i did well enough to change my grade....

holy moly suddenly all these people are calling me for tutoring!  i mean i have 4 students and i had to turn down 2 already!  i mean i got zero calls last year, i wonder what happened...lol... anyway i'm not complaining cuz i'm getting $12/hr so yeah. 

well i gotta go back to studying...

happy new years eve everyone!  hope eveyrone is spending it with those they love!

yesterday i went over to katie's house to watch garden state and bridget jones diary... hehe they were soo good, garden was so cute and bridget jones diary was hilarious.  then after that we went and got kim and met katies mom and sister at the movies to see Oceans 12.  It was really good!  but i think i might like the first one better, but i mean who can lose when you've got brad pitt, george clooney, and matt damon in a movie?  lol anyway, afterwards we went to Islands and had dinner and talked for awhile. 

tonight i dont have plans set in stone so we'll see....

belated merry christmas to everyone!  wow i had an awesome holiday this year!  i've got to write about my 18th birthday celebration and then go to christmas so you're in for a long entry...lol

okay so at midnight of the 23rd, i stay and chat with my cousin, rienzi and shes the first one to greet me, it was really sweet.  then i went to sleep and woke up to a nice breakfast of pancakes and smoked sausage.. and my brother wrote the cutest card - he made me a name poem... it was so sweet.  then at around 10:30 i went and got a manicure and pedicure.  one of my cuticles got clipped, so i've got a bandaid on it right now, buts its all good.  i got them painted red (lol, the color was called O Romeo O Romeo) and on my ring fingeres theres little flowers, and on my big toes theres a christmas tree and then a snowman.. the red nail polish has red glitter so its really pretty when it sparkles... anyway after that we went and picked up my mom, and went to del mar for a light lunch.  we ate at epazote and you could see the ocean, it was pretty!  we walked around in the little shops and then went to torrey del mar to watch the sunset.  i'li post pictures next time, but it was gorgeous... then we went home and changed to go to Ruth Chris Steakhouse for dinner... omg it was sooo fancy and exensive... holy moly!  but oh man, the filet mignon was SOOO GOOOOOD!  and we had mashed potatoes and a crab and msuhroom appetizer... very good... dude that meat practically melted in your mouth.  then as a gift the restaurant let me pick a complimentary desert and i got the caramelized banana cream pie... it was so cute cuz its like a mini pie and it was on a  pretty plate sprinked with sugar, with one candle (yellow!) in the center... it was cute.  it was a great day and something i'll never forget...

on the 24th, we went to the exchange to see if we could change the watch that my parents gave me to the one they had before... my dad, on my birthday,decided to change this gold watch to like heavier silver one cuz he heard i liked silver... oh man was that a mistake, not only was the watch huge but honestly i didnt liek it all that much and my mom was so mad.  but LUCKILY the salesclerk never put the watch back out for selling... so while every oher movado watch was sold, mine was thankfully tucked away and we switched it back... it still needs to be adjusted but yea... later that day i baked biscotti and toffee topped bars, went to church, ate, and opened gifts at midnight... then i proceeded to fall asleep on the living room floor....lol

on the 25th, we took our time and ate breakfast and got ready to go to oxnard... i was told that the baluyots (my cousins family) woudlnt be able to attend and iwas really bummed but i just shrigged it off... the weird thing was my mom kept calling the house telling them where we were on the road... i was like..hmm... well when i go into the house, everyone is there to my surprise and its like antoher extended bday celebration/chrsitmas get-together.  it was awesome... so we all hung out, and i played with baby julien - sooo cute!  and we had pictures and gift openings... then at night after we had ice cream cake, i was told that i was going to open a present from like all the families.. the adults were all written on the gift... so i unwrap this big box while everyone is watching, and what do you know, its an AIR PURIFIER for my car?  alright so i'm like "ohhhh!"  trying not to look disappointed but utterly confused!  inside i was like "what the heck?"  but trying to be polite i start crumpling the giftwrapper, and then my auntie cecille is like "open the box! you mgiht find the keys to a car!"  well she likes to joke, so i'm like saying to myself  "yeah right, but maybe theres more to this..." so i open and inside is a square wrapped box... and a little sigh of relief... lol... i open the wrapper and theres a cardboard box... oh god am i ever gonna see this present?.... my mom, is all like "its a gift certificate!" and i thought to myself that that would be so frickin hilarious... not... anyway i opened the box and inside i find an iPOD!  OMG, so i'm like freaking inside, because i know how much they cost and i've been quietly hoping for one... or for money so that i could get one myself... i was sooo happy! 

then this morning i went to chruch with the family... then went shopping where i got 2 skirts, a jacket, a scarf, and a pair of shorts for less than $50!  old navy and nordstrom rack, baby!  lol  then after hanging out with the family more and eating tempura sushi, we headed home...

now the bulk of the holiday is over and i'm listening to my iPod.. life is GREAT!  maybe for new years i can go to christina's house for a party.... whatever the case i better enjoy my last week of vacation before yucky school starts again.... in any case, HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!  AND A HAPPY 2005!

yayeee! i have a new layout, that i made!  the background picture is one that i took at the water park place in the philippines last summer... it was called Balanga (wink wink Rienzi)... hehe anyway, i felt like writing here because i'm in such a great mood!

on friday night, by friends threw me a surprise party, and get this... my parents were involved in the whole thing!  omg, it was soo awesome... so i go to kim's house thinking i was gonna watch a movie with her and katie... i walk to the front door and kim opens the door with a  huge smile on her face, and i'm all like "hi"...lol, suddenly i see kim's mom shout "SURPRISE!", so my first instinct was "aww kim's family threw a mini party"... but i walk in the door and suddenly and hounded with silly string! and i look aorund and i see, annie, jeff, sarah, leanne, meaghan are all there too!  meanwhile i'm like covered in silly string everyone is like telling me to go in the kitchen and then joleine and rachelle pop out!  hehe it was cute!  haha a few mins later carlo comes in... apparently he almost ruined the surprise because he arrived around the time i did! 

so instead of going to the movies and dinner i got a party!  it was lots of fun, jeff left early and christina came late.  my mom brought lumpia, cake, fruits, and spralking apple/pear cider earlier... the house was deorated with yellow streamers, and then balloons... hehe a pink star one cuz kim said they were out of yellow AND silver, lol!  then ate pizza and talked for a long time... played disney charades.. that was so much fun, i'll never forget katie pretending to be a monkey and then hitting her butt... and kim scream RAFIKI!  (i laughed so hard, the reason for the butt hitting was because of his blue butt, lmao)  then i opened presents.. that was fun, too!  i'll never forget kim's mom's response to the pj's, movie card, and popcorn gift from meaghan (LMAO) ...and then the name that everyone shouted.. oh man good times!  after that we had cake and then watched sixteen candles!  that was such a good movie.. hehe jake ryan is hot, i want one...wink wink...

when i called it a night i was seriosuly walking on cloud 9... my friends are the BEST and this had to be one of my best birthdays ever, i'll never forget it!  you guys are the best!  (hehe, and andy  even if you didn't come you're included)  i love you guys!  i seriosuly had NO IDEA you planned this, and i fele special and comepltely honored to have friends like you!

and theres still 2 more days til my REAL birthday... this is the BEST BIRTHDAY EVVERR!

alright after much thought... i think i'm going to not continue with band next semester... i've come to realize that marching season is proabably the hardest but "funnest" part of band... its where i built strong friendships and have had so many wonderful memories... however, last year and this year i find myself not looking forward to regular band periods and no longer having the desire to be in band anymore... its just no longer one of my priorities... other reasons of why i'm not staying with it is because i am involved in things like key club, national honor society, class council, all of which i have key officer or officer-like resposibilities and its just taking its toll on me... i would much rather be planning some event and stressing over that than trying to play the latest piece of music, next i think mr. torns is getting irritated with my out-of-tuneness, next i really dont want to be in WEII because its 6th period and i want off 6th period, nexti'd love to get the opportunity to photograph for the newspaper - an offer i was given at the end of last year but could not take because of band, and finally i will not be continuing with music or band whatsoever in college so yeah.... my dad agrees and so next week i think this chaper of my life will come to an end.... i was done with band when marching season ended and so this will just be an extended goodbye to band...

bye band, thanks for the memories, good times, and FUN... its been great!
